The history of the Cresol Confederation is closely linked to the constitution of family farming credit unions. The trajectory is based on the sum of forces in search of credit alternatives for the solidarity economy. Founded in 2008, it was called Confederation of Central Rural Credit Cooperatives with Solidary Interaction - Confesol. In 2016, after eight years of operation to organize and qualify the services provided to the associated systems, Confesol became Cresol Confederation. This change was in line with the celebration of Cresol's 20th anniversary, as Cresol represents over 97% of the Confederation. Currently, the Cresol Confederation represents the Credit Centers: Cresol Baser, based in Francisco Beltrão (PR); Cresol Central SC / RS, headquartered in Chapecó (SC); Cresol Sicoper, headquartered in Passo Fundo (RS); and ASCOOB, headquartered in Serrinha (BA). Its headquarters and technical area are located in Florianópolis (SC), with an office in Brasília (DF). Over time, the Cresol Confederation has been consolidated and has been fulfilling its objective of increasing the recognition and participation of credit unions and asserting the rights of its members, as well as contributing to the representation of participating institutions towards the most diverse public agents. and politicians. Present in 15 states, in small and medium-sized municipalities, through 541 service units, Cresol Confederação serves more than 467,000 members with financial solutions recognized for agility and efficiency, which allow regional development with the appreciation of cooperativism. The cooperative work between these systems enables the organization and qualification of the services provided, as well as national recognition.
